Crimson Death Space marine army #5 Citadel 28mm RTB05/RTB11 Land Raider (first version)

From 1987, this was the first version of the now-famous Land Raider. Unusually for one of these, the las cannons are still attached to their working sponson mounts. About the only casualty this model has suffered is its aerial. Skeleton victim is from Skeleton Horde, with jewelry chain.

Nurgle Army #8 - Citadel Chaos Land Raider

I originally inherited this from my godson, who had made it up as a Khornate model, but several parts were broken, and it was a bit of a mess. Perfect :)

The first thing I did was get my Dremel out, and I spent a fair while adding a multitude of holes.

Some further additions were a plague censer...

... A Nurgle logo on the door...

... A sack of something foul in the blocked off hatch...

... A corpse and some filthy ritual scrolls...

... Some old shields to cover up a mess, and a green stuff tentacle.

The painting was really a case of slop stuff on and build up layers of slimy waste. 

I did attempt a bit of OSL around the engine, but I fear I wasn't ready to take that step at the time.

I added a nurgling- as you do,

 and a suitably Nurgly commander.

The rust work was done with IXI metal paints, which are no longer available (I believe Humbrol do something similar now). I used their Iron paint on the tracks and guns, then added rust activator and left it to do its thing.

 

The front hatch was sort of working, but doesn't close properly. Here it is open and closed

Nurgle Army #2 - Citadel 28mm Chaos Rhino

My Army is the Filth Brigade, which use standard Death Guard rules but carry a fetching brown armour and 'candy stripe' red and white trimmings.

Dystopian wars: 1:1200 air and land forces WIP

Here's a short update on work in progress. I've almost finished the land forces I have (just a couple of blisters - looking forward to buying the armoured company come payday.

The air forces are ongoing, though I really should get the tiny flyers completed, as they'll be seeing action sooner as part of a naval battle.

I've been umming and aahing about the colour schemes. I've opted for a quasi-WWII scheme, mainly because the ships looked so modern. There's also the fact that not many will opt for similar colours.
