Citadel 25mm FF17 Minotaur (repaint)

My original paintjob was beginning to look a lot weary, so I took it upon myself to repaint him. I think it's an improvement.

Citadel 28mm C25 Minotaurs - Titus Oxbreath

Another one of my long half-painted miniatures reaches completion. This particular release of C25 Minotaurs from 1987 had separate heads. The body is Egen Oxbreath, and the head is from Titus Twinblades.

Citadel 25mm SH2 Cloaked Superheroes conversion - Thunder

This is a straight head conversion. The head is from a Thrudd the Barbarian figure that I used to make a minotaur. I can't remember where the head of this body went. I was experimenting with Vallejo Fluo green on this one.

If you've been following my old miniature posts, a little note about the painting. Generally, the miniatures were painted at the time of their release. I was the main painter for GW Sheffield's figure cabinet, and again for GW Hammersmith when I took over there in 1986.

So some of the paintjobs aren't going to be up to today's standards. This particular one, though varnished, has obviously suffered along the way and he's looking a bit battered now.

Citadel 25mm C25 Minotaur: Bhovus

From 1987, this minotaur came from a small range under the C25 label. As advertised in White Dwarf 84.

Citadel 25mm RuneQuest minotaur conversion

This minotaur is a conversion from the version of Thrud in the SS6 boxed set of white dwarf personalities. The head was replaced with one from the RuneQuest minotaur in RuneQuest Box 4: Beastmen. The horns are made from a reshaped spear.
