Battlefleet Gothic: Nurgle fleet #15 - Ex Culus class grand battlecruiser 'Ex Culus'

This is scratchbuilt, obviously from chaos cruiser parts, plus other parts from my bitz box.

First, here are some of the shots I took when it was completed for the first time in 2006. Excuse my poor camera skills at that point.

Here's what happened to the paint after 10 years. I used Winsor and Newton inks on the whole fleet - a cellulose based ink that doesn't age well on 3D surfaces. As a result of this, it's returned to the painting table for a repaint with acrylic based inks and paints. Expect an update soon-ish.

The grey-white chips are where the paint has flaked off.

 In game terms it 'counts as' the other grand battlecruiser, though I may do some proper stats for it at some point.

Battlefleet Gothic: Terrain - Scenario objectives

Both these vessels come from a now out of print range of Doctor Who spacecraft. Both of them are straight out of the box, I haven't done any painting on these.

The first is a Judoon vessel, but I use it as a Space Hulk.

The second vessel is the S.S. Madame de Pompadour from The episode 'The girl in the fireplace'. It's an alien artefact in our BFG games.

Battlefleet Gothic: Terrain - Planet and (that's no) Moon

First, a planet. This is made from a large polystyrene ball, purchased from Hobbycraft. Dirt cheap and effective if painted convincingly.

A far simpler paint job on this ball from the same bag, but it does the trick

Battlefleet Gothic: Nurgle fleet #14 - Activated Blackstone fortress(infested)

This is unfortunately still a work in progress as it keeps breaking, plus I haven't done justice to all the fine detail on here. The tentacles were added by Oli Wigham, from his copious bits boxes. I will revisit this at some point. The bottom is the wrong way up because that's how it came from ebay - with very strong glue. It looked ok, so I left it.
