Made from a plastic cyberman, a pair of RTB01 Marine arms and a ball bearing for the helmet. His arms are too big, but that's because they're scavenged parts that have been integrated into his suit.

Space Marine powered hang glider scratchbuild
This was designed, created and painted by my good friend Hugh Fottrell for Golden demon in 1988. You can see it in the Fantasy Miniatures book for that year (Page 19). Based around an RTB01 plastic space marine, Hugh used parts from zoids and his considerable modelmaking skills to create this.

Citadel 25mm Spacefarers S38 Imperial Marine officer with laser pistol
The Spacefarers range had its own set of miniatures rules, drawn heavily from Bryan Ansell's 'Laserburn' set. These are the first space marines that Citadel made, though they are tiny compared to today's offerings.

Still heavily influenced by star wars when I painted these in about 1980. They featured in the GW Sheffield cabinet from 1982 until the range expired.
