6mm Mediterranean village and new wargames table

Visited Warfare in Reading last week and picked up some terrain for playing with my little men; a 6mm Mediterranean village (not quite Greek, but it will do), plenty of trees in 6 & 28mm, and some lovely 2'x2 battle boards from TSS

6mm Spartan Greek Army - Units

As promised, some scale shots of the Spartan Army.

Here you see the tiny cavalry, two units with a penny for scale

Look, it's sneaked into camera shot again! And who's that 28mm miniature then? Said he was here 'Just for  scale comparison, did he? I came across several of his sort in the war!

6mm Spartan Greek Army

So, a departure from the usual fayre, here's my 6mm Spartan Army. The miniatures are produced by Baccus6mm Miniatures, run by Peter Berry, whom I've known for nearly 30 years.

Each unit is on a 20x60mm base

I started painting these some time ago, but I got a final push to finish them when I took them on holiday to Greece :) As they're so small, I had everything (paints, little men, glue, brushes etc) in a box about 20cmx20cmx10cm.

Quite pleased with these 'Army shots'. Next time I'll show some of the individual units and give you a better idea of the scale
