Scratchbuilt 28mm 'Razin'

Razin (pronounced Raz-een) is a character in one of our DnD games.

He's been built from various citadel parts by the talented Oli Wigham.

I attempted to do NMM and OSL, with varying degrees of success. Here he is anyway.

Citadel 25mm DL1 Oriental Heroes boxed set - Chaos Samurai

He's green and he's mean. I found him suitable for a mantis clan member in Legend of the five rings. I believe Wargames foundry still produce these fine miniatures.

Citadel 25mm SAM1/C01 Samurai striking with sword

Another early samurai from citadel

Here he comes

Strangely, I had to paint in the shadows on his shoulder pads

Off he goes

Another weird shoulder pad

Side on

Red Armour, Red mask

Citadel 25mm SH2 Cloaked Superheroes conversion - Thunder

This is a straight head conversion. The head is from a Thrudd the Barbarian figure that I used to make a minotaur. I can't remember where the head of this body went. I was experimenting with Vallejo Fluo green on this one.

Citadel 25mm FTF1 fighter in full plate with mace and crossbow

This one had been in a semi-painted state almost since he was purchased at the time of release in the 80s. I never could bring myself to paint it, but now I'm practising my NMM skillz, he finally got the boost he needed for the finish.

Doctor Who project - Heresy 28mm Sharclon officer with disruptor pistol

Well, yes, of course I got him because he looks like a Sontaran, everyone's favourite race of genocidal potato-heads. I bought him originally to use as Strax in his armour, but as I got more onto painting this model's facial features, I realised it looks nothing like him :)

Anyway, nice model and yes, yet another project.

You'll note the base isn't done yet. I plan to give a uniform base to all the DrWho miniatures I have, and I'll do them all at once.

Citadel 25mm C15 Armoured Orc with full helmet

Whilst going through my old orcs, I discovered this half-painted one, so I finished him off...

Razin WIP02 - breakage

Razin was used in a game. Someone dropped a metal dragon on him. I'm surprised only the sword broke, to be honest.

I'm hoping to use the copper wire in the pictures to reattach the sword.
