Asgard 25mm DA85 Beowulf

Another early piece by Nick Bibby, this one bursting with a Dark Ages character. The original shield has disappeared in the mists of time, so it's been replaced with a Citadel plastic one which is a few years younger.

Asgard 25mm NB2 - The Dragon

From the collection of John Mitchell.

He's missing a foot, so it's been covered by vegetation

Unfortunately the glue on the left-hand wing gave way at this point, and I had none to hand so I couldn't take any further views. Another time maybe.

Citadel 25mm NB1 Great Spined dragon

From the John Mitchell collection. The tinfoil wings are getting a little ragged in places. Another superb Nick Bibby sculpt from 1984.

Signed (in Sindarin) by me, 1985.

The base is a natural rock with milliput additions.

Citadel 28mm DS8 Nightmare Dragon

From the John Mitchell collection. I painted this Nick Bibby monster back in 1987, but it appears he's broken down his central join since then and has been inexpertly reglued.

Citadel 28mm CM1 Chaos Chimera

A switch to smaller monster boxes was heralded by this miniature. Nick Bibby did the sculpt. I've posted before, but here are new photos.

Citadel 28mm TSF18 Space Zoats - Slaarsh

I really like the reptilian centaur look of Zoats. These gorgeous Nick Bibby sculpts were released in 1987, but were not to be a lasting part of the 40k range.
