Laserburn Project WIP15 - Imperial and Redemptionist vehicles

A long time coming, here's part 15 of my never-ending 15mm SF project. This time up, some imperial vehicles and a cheap and cheerful red redemption flyer.

The first vehicle is an imperial ground attack aerodyne, which you may have seen in earlier posts, is a matchbox toy. I've done very little to it in terms of model making - a few mould lines cleaned up and a hole drilled for the offset base.

The metal rivet in the centre of the fan is a) too hard for most model drills and b) part of the functionality of the fan, so I drilled towards the rear.

The second vehicle is from Ground Zero Games. It's representative of a standard transport grav sled, widely in use across the imperium.

The last of the imperial vehicles is a Warthog APC from Atenociti's Workshop.

Finally, just because it's part of the same milieu, a red redemption transport, which you may recognise from a certain movie. It's a snap-together kit that comes pre-painted - all I did was give it a wash with army painter dark tone.

I'm sure there will be some more progress on this project at some point, but I have other things on my table at present.

Laserburn project WIP13 - Justice Department vehicles

So I've finally finished these three vehicles. Here they are:

Of course they're technically 'not-quite-finished' as I should probably do some detail on the underside of the truck, and the air/raft needs its crew completing. They'll do for now though. Enjoy.

Laserburn project WIP07 - Judge pat-wagon again

A few shots of the WIP pat-wagon, on the table at the moment

The front grille - slightly shield-like

Tamiya 4mm masking tape, and hubcaps made from the pop-out bits in the middle of an x-wing miniatures game order wheel.

More soon

Laserburn project WIP06 - Judge pat-wagons

This year's Hot Wheels releases include this splendid vehicle, which they call 'The Vanster'. It's the wrong scale (1:64) to be a 15mm van, but with a bit of work, it can be a huge truck that the Justice dept can use as a Pat-wagon. These are some 'out of the box' shots, more later

I will try to use the translucent roof

rear view

Front - will need some bars or grilles

Laserburn project WIP04 - Judges!

So my judges side project was too much fun, and I've finished them. All of them.

These are old laserburn miniatures. The riot judges truncheons did not survive over the years, but they're not necessary

Riderless and mounted bikes, a red redemptionist, a giant robot (plastic freebie), two wall-e gzg droids, the judges

Whilst in a justice-led frenzy, I pretty much finished the two judge vehicles. I think there should be some red on there too. You'll see.

chevrons from venividivici, other decals from old anime kits

The only problem with how good this 4 looks is going to be replicating it with another number if I do another one :)

Still work continues on the table.

15mm Laserburn Van

Here's another ancient piece - probably from the same time as the Wagon. There's not a lot of detail on these old figures, but I like the shapes.

Top view. It's obviously from the same company as the transporter - the green's so similar.

Here it comes

Lovely Orthogonal. Just what you need.

Side view showing underslung grav system

The rear. Nice bit of hair painted into the bodywork.

The drive with markings.

Bog-standard side view

This is the front. I am writing from the 'Conoisseur of the bleedin' obvious' school today.

M'sieur, with all zees orthogonality, you are really spoiling us.

And there's the combo shot for a big finish. This Blog's flying now, I can tell you. Oh yes.

Next up, Mecha and robots.
