Nurgle army #13 - Citadel 28mm Converted Great unclean one

A totally unintentional paintjob, I'm pretty happy with the results. He came to me from my friend Hugh Fottrell, who had converted him to a bud swilling baseball cap wearing ruffian, but sadly the work had deteriorated and broken, so I set about restoring it. I was a little overzealous when removing some of the milliput additions and lost some detail on the face. This mostly had to be painted in freehand.

The swampy base was made with GOLDEN coarse pumice texture gel, some twigs, tufts and leaves, and repeated coats of Tamiya XF19 Smoke for the 'wet bits'

Nurgle army #12 - Forgeworld Nurgle Dreadnought

He's suffered a couple of mishaps, but is still functional. His horn and the smoke launcher are hors-de-combat.

I tried to articulate the model as much as possible, so his central joint was drilled and pinned;

This gives a good degree of rotation;

Nurgle Army #11 - Citadel 28mm Plague Marines 22-28

The final (for now) batch of Chaos Space Marines.

And individually;

22. 'Pipehead'.

He's a metal torso and arms on a pair of plastic legs. Head pipe is made from a guitar string.

23. 'Leatherface'.

He's a metal flamer guy. Paper scroll. I think the shoulder pads are non-standard too.

24. 'Smash mouth'.

Smash mouth's disease has allowed him to survive a direct hit to the face. Not much left of it though. Metal marine with original box bolter arm, chaos space marine box chain sword and alternative backpack.

25. 'Bog Standard'.

Metal, and pretty much straight from the packet apart from alternate backpack and bolter arm.

26. 'Masky'.

He's a metal plasma gunner with alternative backpack and shoulder pads.

27. 'Skull champion'.

Metal body and backpack, guitar wire and green stuff guts, original box knife arm, chaos space marine box plasma pistol arm.

 

28. 'Guts or Glory'.

 

Mostly chaos space marines box but with guts from zombie box, combi-bolter has a strapped on dark future gun.

Still a few more bits to show on this army, but that's all the marines for now. I have enough spares to make up 29-35 should I ever need a fifth squad.

Nurgle army #10 - Citadel 28mm Chaos Spawn

Another gribbly that my army has in its ranks.

As you can tell, there are a fair few non-standard bitz on there, including; A shell, a couple of tyranid arms, skaven tails, chaos marine parts, and some nice Nurgly balls. How many can you see?

Nurgle Army #9 - Citadel 28mm Plague Marines 15-21

On with more marines. This time round we have 15-21.

Here's the lowdown:

15. 'Chain Flame'

Original box head with razor wire rim, metal marine, alternative backpack.

16. 'The Blind'

He's mainly chaos marine plastic, I think his knife is from elsewhere.

17. 'Screaming Jake'

Jake is made from parts of the zombies plastic box, certainly his head and standard are from there. There's some green stuff and guitar wire in the mix too. Metal shoulder pads. 

The army is mostly silent, so Jake's is always a welcome wail amongst the forces :)

18. 'Mad eye'

Mostly metal with a plastic backpack

19. 'Bolter Boy'

The top half comes from the original plague marine box, with additional parts from the plastic chaos marine box.

20. 'Chainsword champion'

He's a metal champion with a plastic backpack

21. 'Chopper'

top half from original box and plastic parts. Guitar wire.
